The challenge
The northern portal of the Blue Line tunnel sits on the Golda Meir Boulevard corridor in Jerusalem. To clear the site for the tunnel excavation, we removed existing carriageways, excavated and built underground infrastructure for the rail corridor. Existing utilities run under the road, so we dug approx. 1,600 m³ of trial pits to locate them. The work ran from August 2021 to January 2023.
